Fun repurposed gifts for dad’s abode

Father’s Day is this weekend. Guys are so difficult to shop for. The most popular gifts for men end up being a tie or tools. Just how many ties can one guy have, especially if he does not need them for work attire? Do not most men already have their collection of tools, and want to go to Home Depot themselves to pick out the latest and greatest must-haves.

Now is a great time to think outside of the box. Think about repurposing to create unique gifts.

Take out those old unworn ties in the back of the closet.

  • Make them into a nice quilt or pillow to give your man as a useful décor item.
  • An old tie can be refashioned into a useful wallet

With his new pillow or wallet, present dad with a brand new tie to help replace the outdated ones that you have used for your creation.

Old tools that have been handed down, or are just not functional anymore, can be repurposed into artwork.

Your man might have a beautiful tool from his grandfather that has been sitting around.

  • Have tools reconditioned and framed for the wall. Tools can be used as wonderful art pieces. Now dad will have a one-of-a-kind piece of art that he can show off and keep as a memento.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the Dads, Granddads, Stepdads, and anyone else who has stepped up to be a father to someone. Thank you for being there. Never be afraid to dance!
