Patterned panels: Decor for the abode’s walls and more

Whether in the job market or strutting your fashion sense, these days everyone is striving to stand out. Our abode’s décor is an extension of our personalities. The most compelling décor happens out of creativity and thinking beyond the norm.

Sometimes the simplest ideas can culminate in the most unique and beautiful decors.

Lattice is typically used on the exterior of the abode as an enclosure under a porch or a decorative exterior wall element. In past cultures intricate windows, such as on Tudor homes, where known to be lattice and defined wealth. India’s buildings have lattice details built into the architecture.

The Wikipedia definition of Latticework is a framework consisting of a criss-crossed pattern of strips of building material, typically wood or metal. The design is created by crossing the strips to form a network. Latticework can be purely ornamental, or can be used as a truss structure such as a lattice girder bridge.

Latticework has come a long way.

Lattice is now also available made from pvc, making it a durable and clean alternative.

Bring the decorative lattice indoors

  • Panel over a painted wall to give it definition

lattice over a painted wall adds dimension
  • A mirrored wall will be softened with lattice applied over the mirror.

    lattice over mirror adds elegance
  • Use lattice as a window or French door screen.

    lattice adds beauty and privacy
  • Apply latticework as a wainscot paneling for the walls.

Acurio Latticeworks has very unusual and beautiful lattice designs created in 4’ x 8’ pvc panels. As quoted from the website their “…quality PVC panels incorporate a plethora of original designs never before applied to traditional lattice patterns.”

  • “Acurio Latticeworks was conceived when company founder Marcus McAvoy went in search of unique decorative deck rail panels for his home deck. Having no success in his quest, Marc decided to produce his own custom designed panels. Having received many compliments on his handiwork, Marc realized the potential of an alternative to traditional lattice and balusters. Several years of product development followed and Acurio Latticeworks was born.”

  1. Thank you for this one! We have a full wall (8’x10′)l of mirrors (4’x8′ sheets) in our huge bedroom and have no idea how to deal with it, besides tearing it down. I think this would be just the solution. Thank you. Are these acrylic panels of lattice available in Canada? Keep up the good work 🙂
