Always wanting to be at the height of fashion, if “it” is in, then a everyone will want it. The hot “It” factor of the moment is Cheetah. This print is being seen everywhere.
Cheetah and Leopard has taken over the fashion world. As in fashion we love to add these accents to the décor as well.
New accessories are the easiest way to change the décor with the latest trends.
- Find some Cheetah print pillows to add to the sofa.
- Make a lampshade with a cheetah print fabric. Cheetah print area rugs are fun.

If you really want to be adventurous then plan an all out decorating theme.
- Paint or wall paper a wall with Cheetah. It will look earthy and fun. Be careful not want to overwhelm.
We see Cheetah prints in many variations of color and sizes. If you want to go beyond the natural colors of a cheetah, perhaps for a girl’s room or a fun playroom, think outside the box.
- Cheetah prints are seen in many different colors like silver, pink, orange, and purple. Keep it monotone and interesting in just simple silver, or white, and black for a more formal look.

If you cannot find a cheetah print wall covering that you like, or are looking for unique colors, then have fun painting the wall yourself.
- Find a picture of a cheetah or leopard print that you like and can refer to. Looking at a natural cheetah print, it is simply made up of different size ovals in black with a light background and a shade darker than the background in the center of the oval.
- Follow the natural cheetah pattern, keeping the background in a lighter shade of the desired color, and the inside of the ovals painted in a darker shade the color, and keeping the outline of the oval in your dark color.
- First paint the entire wall in your light background color.
- As with the animal itself, the prints ovals should vary in size and shapes. Be creative; sketch a pattern on the wall with pencil. Start smaller in the middle and expand out to a larger pattern.
- Fill the inside of the spots with a darker color shade of your background color. You can use a paintbrush or use a sea sponge to easily dab on the color. Let the spots dry.
- Outline the spots with thick lines of black (or your desired darker color) paint. Do not fuss; the outlines should be uneven, as with the natural print.
- If you are not ready to commit to painting a wall, paint an old dresser or accent table in a cheetah pattern. Finish your furniture piece with a clear polyurethane top coat.
Remember less is more. Combine the natural cheetah print with a pretty green contrast color, as in the jungle.
Do not be afraid to have fun with patterns. Never be afraid to dance!
