Interior Design Tip To Refresh the Look of Your Decor

Life gets boring looking at the same walls day in and day out. Everyone is more stressed out these days worrying about work and expenses. Money is tight so purchasing new, non-essential, items is very low on the list for most. Now is the best time to be creative when wanting to give your decor a lift.

Want to update and freshen up your decor without spending cash? Swapping around your hanging wall art will instantly change the look of your rooms.

You can make an understated new look to your decor simply by rearranging the artwork or exchanging art with other rooms. That painting in your bedroom might look nice hanging in your living room where more people will see it. Instead of a mirror over the fireplace mantel you might want to arrange a grouping of artwork gathered from other rooms.

Take a look at what you have on your walls. Make sure that they are hung correctly. Artwork should not be hung too high. Make sure that they are at least at a standard eye level of between 60 and 66 inches. If a wall looks empty, add a grouping. Odd numbers look better than even numbers so make a grouping of three or five.

If you are short on artwork you can make your own. Find pictures out of old coffee table books. Purchase frames and Mattes inexpensively at stores like IKEA and AC Moore.

Have fun redecorating your walls, never be afraid to dance!
